National Disaster Resilience Month

City of San Fernando, Pampanga—In celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region III graced the invitation for EarthTalk Central Luzon radio program at RW 95.1 FM last Tuesday, June 7, 2020. Together with DJ Don Marco and DENR3-RPAO Don Guevarra are guest speakers from MGB R-III—Chief of Geosciences Division, Mr. Noel Lacadin and Ms. Jane Arnie Pastor Ojeñar—both are geologists and experts in conducting geoscience research and geohazard mapping to deliver life-saving information and public safety updates on threats of landslides, sinkholes, and other geohazards.

Amongst the topics discussed were: Definition and Importance of Geohazard Mapping; How to Read a Geohazard Map?; and List of Barangays or Municipalities Within the Region With Geohazard Maps.

The hosts and guests bid farewell to the public with an appeal for their continued support and cooperation in environmental protection and conservation.
